3. ( I think those guys understood what I meant :) I do tend to need a bigger space in the room, so I have moved on from the Belnord, but I was pleasantly surprised, and felt that I was staying in someones historical home, that they preserved and cared for in an updated and professional way.

5. Plenty of shopping in the immediate area, but who cares about that when a ten minute subway ride gets you into the heart of midtown Manhattan (or a 15 minute subway ride to LIttle Italy, SOHO, Greenwich, West Village, East Village or Tribeca).

7. I'm an 5 to 6 am riser, and went over to the bagel shop that early on Broadway, can't remember the name but it is across the street from the Starbucks on Broadway and very good, and there were some suspicious characters hanging around, which didn't bother me b/c I live in the Tenderloin in SF, but to the unassuming traveler that expects a nice neighorhood to be safe at all times, I'd be a little careful, but that is NY.

8. Hmm, where to put my bags, in the shower tray doubling as a Japanese bath tub? And be careful not to roll out of bed and in to the toilet.
