2. Beautiful old hotel well positioned in Boston; rooms are old as to be expected and the floor-boards creak overhead; service is not the best I have experienced but this seems to be one of the best hotels in Boston otherwise; tip generously or invoke the wrath of the service staff.

3. The hotel is situated in a perfect position for getting around Boston and door staff were polite and prompt and good for asking for advice.
