1. Because most people would not walk to Beale from the hotel, Crowne Plaza provided a convenient shuttle anywhere within the downtown area, even though there is also a trolley.

2. convenient for the trolley, we had a 3 day pass for $8 and used the trolley for our trips to Beale Street, South Main district and the river front loop.
