1. Whatever the case, we found a lot of other excellent properties on our trip, and we didn't take it too personally when the staff member checking us in to the St.

3. The best part of the stay might be the excellent and friendly service pf the entire staff: from Noah at the pool to the Starwood concierge, Shannon, who helped us sort out some issues with our boarding passes.

4. We ate in the lounge one night (sushi) and that was very good and at Kauai Grill one night and ordered the tasting menu which was excellent.

5. However, the poolside staff (drinks/bar/towel, etc) and valet staff were fabulous: Toppi, Noah, and Kaipo were so very pleasant, gave us excellent restaurant recommendations, and great advice.

7. Poipu was a bit more developed and our impression of the Grand Hyatt, where we dined but did not stay, was excellent service in a hotel that was stunning more because of architecture and landscaping than pure natural beauty.
