Sorry I cannot remember the name of the shop, but the shop owner had some really lovely things like exquisite scarves, lovely teacups and teapots, jewelry; also she makes the most gorgeous faux florals for your hair and also faux floral leis - one-of-a-kind absolutely stunning and
beautiful
.

A definitive plus is to be out of the Waikiki area, one of the worst tourist traps I've ever seen and the last place in the island to visit: the park in front of the hotel is orders of magnitude more
beautiful
than the cramped, noisy and filthy Waikiki beach.

Hotel is adjacent to Ala Moana shopping mall and about 3 blocks from ocean/Ala Moana state park (which has
beautiful
views of Diamond Head).

The outdoor pool is big and
beautiful
but closes early - we were told because that's the deal that they made with the tenants of the condo tower.
