The hotel lobby bar is not a place for a
quiet
drink because the lobby is usually crowded and loud (go across the street to the Hamilton).

My room was ready, plenty of electrical outlets for the wall-warts that are in my bag, and a
quiet
, comfortable, luxurious room to catch up on company business before heading out to the Metro and a trip to Chevy Chase for the evening's work.

For peace and
quiet
in DC, request a room as high up as possible to avoid noise.

On my first stay, I had a view overlooking the White House lawn, but the next 2 times, my view was of the interior brick walls - but again, the room was very
quiet
.

The rooms are larger than a typical room at the W, and I especially appreciate how
quiet
this hotel is.
