1. I felt that spending $400 per night while common in Washington DC would have been better spent at another hotel.

6. for two days and as many other reviews indicate, the location can't really be much better, very close to the Library of Congress, the Mall and all museums and yet located in a relatively tranquil area, with very little traffic.

8. I usually attempt this before booking with Orbitz because I've found that some hotels will give you a better deal by booking directly with them over Orbitz or other websites like that.
