1. I think it's a big slap in the face when the hotel puts you in one of the noisiest possible rooms in the joint.

5. I hadn't had a great day when I arrived, but the woman at the front desk was so kind to me and her colleague got me a big glass of wine since I'd missed the hotel's wine reception--they really made me feel more human than I'd felt all dayI stayed in a Monte Carlo room, which I really recommend.

7. While I was familiar with the hotel in general, having been to the restaurant on site (Poste), and am a big fan of Kimpton hotels, I was very impressed by our stay and, in particular, the service.

Plus i joined kimpton in touch so i got free wifi and a $10 credit to use towards the mini bar which was a nice surprise - I didn't even know Kimpton intouch members got that $10 credit until kelly told us so make sure and join - it's free to join so why not? (although i have to admit - the wifi was a big choppy - not the greatest - same thing at the palomar - but at least I didn't have to pay $15.

9. Isn't that a big part of visiting other locals, to meet people and find out all over again that we're really all the same? I would highly recommend this hotel to visitors to DC.
