Washington DC often seems to be overlooked as a place to visit but apart from being a nice city itself and a delightful place to be, it has staggeringly good museums offering something for everyone that you will not be able to see the like of anywhere else in the world and which will be exciting even for people who say 'I don't do museums'.

4. The hotel lobby is modern, with a very active bar/lobby area, seating outside for drinks or meals, none of which we used but they looked good albeit noisy.

5. We had a standard room but it was a good size and well designed with a semi-open plan bathroom area which preserved the room's proportions and sense of spaciousness but also worked well.

6. I am sometimes worried about non-name brand hotels, especially at DC prices buy this was a good choice as my groups main conference hotel was already booked.

7. To be fair, the bar and restaurant are high energy and the food very good, but the accomodations and service was awful.

10. It was a bit cold for us to sit outside so we opted for indoor seating but next to the floor to ceiling windows, it was just as good as being in the elements.
