1. Not sure if it was branches, sand or whatever on the roof but it was loud and continuous.

4. Hotel is child-friendly, so check the season if you want to avoid kids at any one of the three pools--two of which are quieter; the main pool near the restaurants often has loud music playing in the afternoons so I avoid that one.

6. I must admit that the rooms are attractive and pleasant (certainly nicer than the tired ones at La Paloma and Ventana Canyon) but the air conditioning is shockingly loud.
