1. I was surprised and disappointed they would put a woman staying alone in a ground floor room in this odd section of the hotel.

2. Where we travelled from San Francisco to San Diego, so had already booked this hotel (through 'Trailfinders') before I read the reviews, so was very wary on arriving at the Catamaran Hotel and was thinking that I would be very disappointed.

6. Overall, the Catamaran has never disappointed, but now that there are many beach houses available for rent, their competitive pricing almost makes it hard to stay there anymore.

7. When I got to my room I was very disappointed, The room had a popcorn ceiling, badly outdated furniture, and the TV was ontop of a dresser in an alcove on the side of the room.

8. Room, overlooking the bay, was not built yesterday, but it was comfortable and quaint; seaside resorts have their own unique personality and this one didn't disappoint; one of the better 'bay' side resorts we have visited.
