1. The hotel showed some wear and tear (like names scratched in the wood in the elevator and worn spots on wood fixtures) but it wasn't dumpy and it was very clean.

2. In 'new' room, no lightbulb in reading lamp, stopper in bathroom sink broken, lightbulb burned out over bathroom mirror, air conditioner/heating unit broken,,,one electrical outlet in wall plug worn out and could not be used.

3. The carpet was older and worn and needed some cleaning (or simply replaced), the walls needed some paint touch-ups and the 8-place table in the dining room was pretty well worn.
