My suggestion would be to get a room as high up as you can as the trolly and train station are close so lower rooms may be a little
noisy
, but that sound is just San Diego.

We were also up on the 12th floor, so we didn't find it overly
noisy
.

We checked in late on a sold out weekend but still got the bay view we booked (though right across from the elevators, which was a little
noisy
but not terrible).

I am sure there is a less expensive, less
noisy
and cleaner hotel in the vicinity, we won't be staying here again.

The hotel is
noisy
due to the trains and trolley and traffic and because there is a courtyard, there is an oppressive odor, not bad, but obvious, probably due to the indoor pool, too.

Be sure to get a bay view room, I heard the city view rooms are
noisy
with the train that passes by that side of the hotel.

The trolley and Amtrak can be
noisy
at night with the frequent whistles and crossing signals, especially in City View rooms.
