1. I quickly realized why it had been disabled by a previous occupant - the fan was noisy and the air that issued from the vents smelled awful - dusty and dirty and reminiscent of the exhaust from an old vacuum cleaner that needs to have its bag changed.

9. We had a room on a high floor which I had requested, I would say it would be pretty noisy in your living room where the sofa bed is if you had a room on a lower floor and near the elevator.
