I'll admit that walking alone on the Riverwalk was a little
scary
at first but as long as I did so in the day light I felt safe.

If you google map the hotel, the Riverwalk looks deserted and
scary
near the hotel but I have included pictures to show you what it looks like during that section of the walk.

The long, long walk to the Riverwalk at night was absolutely
scary
and required walking through a lot of streets & construction projects & dark, dark parks with
scary
women yelling at trees and passerbys (no exaggeration).

I didn't think the walk was as
scary
as most people made it sound.

It is true that walking by night from the alamo to the hotel was a bit
scary
because the streets are so lonely, but the buses and trains pass by, so i dont think this could be something that would prevent us from returning to this hotel.

And getting to the 'actual' riverwalk area isn't all that far (perhaps a half mile walk) but it's through some very
scary
areas that you really, really don't want to be walking through.
