We were a little nervous about walking under the expressway at night, but the city has a perpetual light show in the underpass, so it did not seem at all

? Also note that it really isn't walking distance to the Riverwalk since you need to go underneath a highway bridge which can be a bit
scary
at night.

Two, walking under the overpass at night is a little
scary
but it's a short trip so if it really bothers you, you could always take a taxi.
