5. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and am glad I didn`t pay to stay in a more expensive hotel in the downtown area (I wasn`t very impressed with downtown as I thought I would be).

6. I initially wanted to stay in the downtown area but it`s fairly expensive and I think staying in this part of Portland is a good alternative if you`re on a budget.

9. When we returned to the hotel and spoke with the general manager he comped our first night (of three) for the inconveniences caused by his staff, but stated that he did not want to pay for anything else including any of the medical expenses incurred from the fall.
