1. It is only two blocks from Bourbon Street which means that you are close by but you don't get the noise and smell.

4. It had obviously been cleaned before we got there but the room smelled funny when we walked in, the grout in the bathroom needed to be bleached and scrubbed, the picture frame was falling apart, there were handprints all over the window, and there was at least 1/4 inch of dust under the bed.

5. The Iberville lobby is lovely and grande but has a very noticeable strange musty smell, not sure why since the Ritz smells fine and they are in the same building.

7. Across the street was another hotel (maybe a Marriott?) that was nicer (larger rooms, nicer staff, higher ceilings), was on a corner with better light and less trash-smell, and more affordable.
