1. Downside: Elevator noise but it was MINIMAL.

3. It is in a great location very close to the 'nightlife' of Beale street, but being far enough away from all the noise.

Luckily all it took was a phone call to the front desk and I was quickly offered an alternative and much more comfortable room, though I was slightly surprised I hadn't been allocated it in the first place if it was free as the initial room should definitley only be used in extremis and only after due warning given the noise.

5. Very quiet hotel, not a lot of nightlife--but that is near if it is what you want (2-4 blocks from Beale where all the activity and noise are).

7. I initially had booked at Westin but was concerned about Beale Street noise but at Residence Inn had best of both worlds, was close to Beale but completely quiet.

10. My only criticism is that if you are on the rear side of the hotel, there are fans/generators outside which make a fair amount of steady noise.
