This hotel was exactly what I was looking for:- Medium priced (not budget, but not expensive)- Modern, spacious rooms- Great location in the heart of downtown- Friendly Memphis service- Interesting historic property (1927) with art deco touches in lobby- Well maintained- Valet parking not cheap ($16/day) but typical for major downtown hotels.

3. the only expense is taxi trips to Graceland ($50) and Memphis Zoo ($50).
