2. Always hard when you expect so much more from these large chain hotels - nothing wrong with the hotel but nothing amazing either - your hard earnt money - because this hotel is not cheap can be spent somewhere else.

6. Not being a complete idiot I began to realize there must be an issue with our reservation and asked if something is wrong but was assured that my reservation is 'in order.

7. I recall staying at a very famous 5 star resort in Australia, pulling up in my (rather nice expensive) car, and having their head concierge say 'hi mate, hows things goin?' We stayed in a suite, but decided it wasnt quite large enough for the kids too (please dont get me wrong, it wasnt really small.

8. The bedding smelled like old fabric (moth), eventhough we have requested the sheets to be changed, the fabric still smelled awefull and management thought that there was nothing wrong with it.

10. We didn`t want to hire a car and argue directions for 2 days on the wrong side of the road and AirShuttle transfers with 2 kids, associated luggage for a month RTW and stroller wasn`t appealing either.
