1. I came for a business conference, the hotel itself I will agree is old, badly maintained, however it is next to the Willamette River, when I checked into my room the carpet was stained and filthy.

3. My upgrade included stained sheets and carpets, tired, outdated decor a sagging couch and a door to the balcony that wouldn't lock and looked like it had been ripped open at some point.

4. My PURE (allergy free) room was a bit tired and very dated, and when I turned down my sheets, I found that thesheets were old, very well worn and bore ancient blood stains that had been unsuccessfully bleached.

If you're not looking for updated diggs, if you can look past the negatives and focus on the positives like I did for many years, if you can handle a bathroom, furniture, and stained carpet from the 70's, along with floral print bed-spreads (seriously, even Holiday Inn Expresses have switched to losing bed spreads in favor of a simple white comforter), then you'll love this place.
