1. So, Night #1 in the first room: low ceiling, no window, no closet (not even a coat hook for our dress clothes) no working WiFi, broken coffee pot and a telephone that kept inexplicably buzzing (as if the phone was off the hook) until we pulled its plug.

2. There were prostitutes out front and the clerk had to warn us to hide anything valuable in the car otherwise a crack-head would break the window to steal it, and sure enough, the next day our car was fine but there was some broken glass on the street next to where the car in front of us was.
