1. One item-----if you have a problem walking or you are older----ask to be closer to the elavator---the halls are VERY VERY LONG.

3. We always rent a car in Vegas so the off-strip location is not a problem, but the hotel provides free shuttle service to the strip.

5. We liked this hotel, having stayed on the strip all our other times coming to vegas the past 20 years, but we always have a rental car, so being off strip isnt a problem.

6. I give The Orleans 3 out of 5 because of its great value and lack of incidents or serious problems, but I would not stay here again unless low on funds.

7. Being dated was not a problem because the bed was comfortable, the water pressure good, the room contained a safe, and housekeeping did an excellent job in keeping the room and public areas clean.

8. One problem is that the blackout drapes, right above the a/c heater vents, interfere with air flow.

9. We were there with our family so the craziness of the kids all over wasn't the problem, but just trying to get up to our room was a challenge as there was always a long line for the 4 elevators.

10. I actually found this hotel through Trip Advisor and was one of the few in Las Vegas that didn't have a bed bug problem.
