1. It has been very windy every day, mostly it hasn't affected us, and on our balcony we were protected from the wind, you wouldn't even know, but down by the pool and beach, on some days was awful.

2. I looked at a couple of hotel apartments in Wailea or Kihei, but either they were not on the beach or just too old & awful or adult oriented or had very small pools or were just too expensive during the holidays ($1700/nite for a 2br).
