2. 2) the next issue was the stupid alarm in the room which even though you unplug and turn it off, went off at 5:55am and then again at 6:55am.

3. Can't really complain except for a couple minor issues: 1) it was our honeymoon and I was hoping to be given a decent size room and although we wanted a room away from the street (away from the noise that some reviews mentioned) the pay off was the size.

6. Other than the issue I raised above regarding a lack of knowledge of what places were open on thanksgiving night, the staff were all excellent and helpful throughout my stay.

7. Noise was not an issue after the first night and it is very conveniently placed close to public transport of all sorts and to Union Square and all manner of shopping.

8. Other than these minor issues, I recommend Hotel Union Square for anyone wanting a convenient, attractive, a reasonable priced hotel in the heart of San Francisco.

9. The location makes it a bit noisy at night if you have a room facing Powell Street (cable cars aren't very quiet), but there are rooms off the main street if that's an issue for you.

10. We got back to our room around 2:30 am, so noise from other rooms wasn't an issue, although earlier in the evening, I could definitely hear music from the room next door.
