1. It seems that the rooms in the back of the building are the biggest, the ones in the middle (facing the building next door) are the in between and the front ones are really tiny.

4. The reason I say this is good for a short stay is because of the tiny bedrooms, the lack of a decent breakfast and the lack of amenities at the hotel.
