2. FOLKS: Here are the facts: (1) Rooms ARE small; (2) Only ONCE have I had a problem with the Front Desk Clerk & I wrote her up (she no longer works there); (3) In my opinion, Continental Breakfast is excellent (pasteries, cereals, juice, coffee, tea, but NO HOT BREAKFAST (fyi); (4) Unless you get a room that overlooks Sutter Street, (many car horns & sirens but fun people watching), your room may very well look onto a roof; (5) Their restaurant, White Horse Tavern, is excellent & not all that expensive for S.

3. The front desk person made me feel like I somehow 'stole' the rate, then convinced us to go with valet immediately (their valet is $24/date; the parking garages within a block radius are all more expensive, but honestly? We could have parked elsewhere for free and just walked back.
