1. The only real problem we had with the room was that the bathroom door was a sliding door rather than a proper door, and never seemed to shut or lock properly.

FOLKS: Here are the facts: (1) Rooms ARE small; (2) Only ONCE have I had a problem with the Front Desk Clerk & I wrote her up (she no longer works there); (3) In my opinion, Continental Breakfast is excellent (pasteries, cereals, juice, coffee, tea, but NO HOT BREAKFAST (fyi); (4) Unless you get a room that overlooks Sutter Street, (many car horns & sirens but fun people watching), your room may very well look onto a roof; (5) Their restaurant, White Horse Tavern, is excellent & not all that expensive for S.
