1. downside was the elevator was out of order, but seriously, if you can't carry your suitcase up a couple flights of stairs, you've packed too much.

2. One small downside was that my room overlooked Lombard Street which is very busy from early in the morning till late at night so some traffic noise but didn't bother me too much.
