1. Overall it was ok for what I paid ($90 single room) -Hotels in the center of San Francosco are really expensive and the Grant Hotel seems a good compromise.

8. The location is handy to the cable cars, Union Square, Chinatown & the city (it`s not too hilly to walk there either), but the smell, expensive parking & lack of service/services in the actual hotel are a bit of a drawback.

9. There is not much parking on the street (& what there is is expensive), but if you drive for a block or two then you can find spots where it is free for Sundays & evenings at least, if you are there then.
