1. it was a little disconcerting, but even on a holiday weekend there wasn't anything too bad, and the kids are used to NYC so it wasn't a problem.

4. When you are walking to the metro stop you have to walk past boarded up buildings, but we did not find it bad, just not the most pleasing of walks.

5. It is really a bad design considering everywhere in the hotel is with marble which is another complaint.

7. You'll walk past a few derelict buildings on your way, but it's actually not a bad neighborhood, and if you have a meeting in the convention center it's an absolutely ideal location.
