3. (The Hotel Shattuck)One of the people in our party actually had the smoke detector beep loudly every 10 seconds starting around 3AM and the front desk said they couldn't fix it 'til the morning.

4. The bottom line - it's not comfortable - and the Union Square area is loud and stressful enough that the room doesn't need to be a sensory overload - if anything, they should try to make it as calming as possible.

5. We had the suite and I was glad we could close the door to shut out any hallway noises (people just love slamming hotel doors) and the fridge which is very loud.

6. The only complaint we had was that there was a lot of clanging noise from the street early in the mornings that could be heard very loudly from our 3rd floor streetside rooms.

9. On the 4th night of our stay, we heard loud music in our 3rd floor room and complained to the front-desk at 9:30PM and at 10:30PM.
