1. I'd been on a rather challenging business trip for a week by the time I arrived at the hotel; it was very much appreciated that the bellman who grabbed my suitcase at the curb was so nice and efficient, and at my request he pointed me to a nearby garage that was less expensive than the hotel's valet service.

2. Be forewarned: Valet Parking is VERY expensive at ANY San Francisco hotel.

3. Room service starts on the late side, and is expensive, so the best way to get a cup was to stumble down to the lobby where it is on offer.
"Nice place to stay but no coffee maker in the room is a deal breaker " Read full review on TripAdvisor   3/15/2012 Vote
4. But the other amenities were barely adequate: the towels were rough and nearly thread bare; the complimentary wine in the lobby between 5-6 was jug quality; the in-house bistro was barely adequate (several orders had to be sent back) and expensive.
"Just OK " Read full review on TripAdvisor   3/15/2012 Vote
5. SF has great places to stay, but normally it is good location, expensive, but it is SF.
"Hidden Gem in SF, you need to check it out " Read full review on TripAdvisor   2/25/2012 Vote
6. At the Four Seasons or other expensive hotels, they would've been able to solve that problem without the guests being inconvenienced in the middle of the night.
"Eat at the Restaurant but stay somewhere cheaper and better " Read full review on TripAdvisor   10/18/2011 Vote
7. The rooms were really clean & we ordered room service one night which was a little on the expensive side but the food was delicious.
"Lovely boutique hotel! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   10/5/2011 Vote
8. We self-parked our rental car, which was significantly less expensive than having the hotel valet park it, and we used the same garage (right around the corner) that the hotel uses.
"Centrally located, sophisticated hotel " Read full review on TripAdvisor   9/12/2011 Vote
9. As a last comment, if you aren't expecting it, you might be surprised at how expensive the hotels and parking are in San Francisco at the end of the summer.
"Excellent service but if you have bad animal allergies this hotel is not for you " Read full review on TripAdvisor   8/30/2011 Vote
10. But parking is expensive EVERYWHERE in San Francisco, so if you drive in, just figure parking into your trip costs.
"Really cool boutique hotel in heart of San Fran! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   8/4/2011 Vote
