1. Staff were very helpful, free newspapers, free iced water in foyer, free tea and coffee in morning, I can't fault any part of it, and to be honest, can't understand the negative comments on threads below.

Overall a perfect base to see new York and to shop shop shopMy only negatives would be our room did not have a window so felt a bit hemmed in and the shower was a wet room which flooded when showeringBut the hotel was clean, helpful, good size rooms and if you stay here make sure you visit pershing square dinner which is opposite grand central station (literally 2 mins away) as their breakfast is amazing and good value.

10. Only negative was breakfast which was self serve with food and beverages constantly running out, no service other than having silverware dropped on the table and over-priced for what it is, including an automatically added 18% gratuity for receiving silverware.
