1. Stayed in a single room, which was small (as most New York City hotel rooms are) with a shared bathroom, although that wasn't as much of an inconvenience as first thought as there were four bathrooms on the floor I stayed on and one was always available when I needed it.

If you are looking to save a pile of cash relative to more typical Manhattan hotels, are not expecting personalized caring service, and are willing to put up with the minimal inconvenience of shared facilities and diminutive albeit clean and mainly bright rooms, then the Pod Hotel is hard to beat.
