The reason for the four stars, rather than five, is that the furniture is
dated
and the armchairs (loved that there were two) need to be reupholstered for more comfort.

If you don't mind
dated
decor and furniture (it seemed to just be the theme of the hotel) then I could not fault this hotel.

For Manhattan, the rooms are 'relatively' roomy; which may seem
dated
to some, but I found them to be consistent with the French provincial theme.
