1. My one complaint is the lack of free wi-fi in the rooms.

2. We did not book the room for the kitchen as cooking was not on the agenda though weI would agree with the reviews about the lack of cooking utensils a kettle to boil water in rather than a saucepan would have been good .

4. (for those who have read complaints about outdated TVs and lack of in-room internet, I will assure you, our TV was a brand new flat screen and there's free internet in the lobby - when we were stranded due to the storm we did order internet in our room which was less than $15) We can't say enough about how professionally staff and management handled all the chaos that was Hurricane Irene.

5. The staff was very friendly and helpfull , specialy David the conciergehe only negetive thing is the lack og free WiFi in the room wich is kind of standard in all other hotels and it's time to replace the TVs to flat screens.

6. The lack of a TV was bad enough, but I couldn't download movies and rentals for my daughter to watch on the way home because I had to pay for an ethernet cord????? What.

What is lacks in an impressive lobby it more than makes up for in location (very near the 6 train for great East side access), area (safe, plenty of restaurants, drug stores and supermarkets), the room (large by NY standards with a small kitchen, reasonably priced mini bar, HBO, very comfortable beds and a GREAT view) and the staff, who were all very kind and helpful.
