4. They did have some sort of off-putting signs something to the effect of if you are one minute past the noon check-out they'll have you thrown in debtor's prison, but I was leaving early so it didn't become an issue.

5. When I called the front desk they told me to call tech support who was very helpful and polite but it seemed the issue was with the connection at the hotel which tech support could not resolve.

7. Upon arrival we had a problem with the contact name for the reservation but the front desk clerk was very helpful in resolving the issue with travelocity, the site with which the reservation was booked, and he even offered us a room that was a bit bigger because of all of the ordeal.

8. I've put in multiple calls to the hotel but I'm always told that it's only the manager who can deal with these types of issues (ie deciding whether or not a refund might be in order) but even when I've called between 9am-4pm, the manager is never available and the front desk gives various excuses such as that she's already gone for the day, that she's sick or that her whereabouts are generally unknown.

10. Parking is an issue as it is everywhere in NYC but we were able to find parking directly in front of the hotel (by luck) and never moved the vehicle again (except for street cleaning).
