2. What can one say about a hotel which offers an indescribably small, claustrophobic shoebox of a room with little or no heat (and clanging pipes when the heat deigned to come on at 3 am in the morning), with bloodstains on the bed cover, dirty sheets, worn/stained towels, windows which are not properly sealed and which let in freezing air, fetid shower curtains, soiled carpets and tired furniture? A dispiriting experience - even for one night.

3. The pillows were the most lumpy, worn out pillows I've ever slept on.

4. What did bother me was how worn and stained the room was.

5. The carpeting was beyond worn, and the one dresser looked like it had been salvaged from garbage pick-up.

6. The carpet and furniture is old and worn and the walls need some paint, but as a veteran NYC visitor it was expected for the price I paid.
