2. The renovated decor is wonderful (I stayed there a few years back prior to that work being done), but our room looked like it had lived hard since the makeover.

Very good accommodation, however color scheme & decor of walls, elevator doors & carpets on every level (except main level) was strikingly hard on the eyes - like a psychedelic trip, or surrealistic art by an artist obsessed with geometric shapes & gaudy colors (however this would not prevent us from coming again).
