1. We checked out our room - pool view - very nice, not noisy at all, then headed off to our first park visit.

3. We have only two reservations about AKL, firstly it can be very dark in places (it was impossible to see into the safe for example) and secondly it is a very child friendly resort so the pool, lobby and restaurants can be rather noisy (and sometimes fractious).

4. my only warning for light sleepers to avoid aggravation is to request a room away from the main level (3rd floor) which can get quite noisy with children running back and forth at all hours of the day and night especially when the parks stay open until 2am.

5. So, when looking out from our balcony, you saw the other wing of the lodge not far away and to the right, the main body of the lodge with the noisy ventilation fans.

8. I'm wondering how noisy it would be for pool-side rooms when it's crowded???My kids loved the few hotel activities in which they participated: the parade, story telling and night vision binocular viewing.
