2. The food in their outdoor restaurant is excellent (do NOT make the mistake of dining across Collins Avenue at 24 hour Maxine's, which is quite mediocre - South Seas restaurant is far, far better).

3. In a sea of mediocre to dreadful hotels in over-priced South Beach, the SoBe must be one of the best in its price range; anything better nearby (Ritz Carlton, Delano) will likely cost double.
