4. Service couldn't be worse: front desk staff will barely talk to you - not even a good morning, housekeepers have very loud and long conversations in the hallway, so forget about taking a nap, will be awaken by them or by their radios.

5. I've stayed at the Delano and the Shore Club and I preferred this part of South Beach to the shopping mall that is south of 14th but I didn't care for Delano's rooms (too loud, too small and minimal service).

10. There's the 'Miami Winter Music Conference' going on during the week we went (25th to 29th), and although it was great the first day (music was at the hotel) -- free entertainment and all -- it was loud.
