Check-in required an extension of over an hour beyond 4 PM because rooms weren't ready; room above local discotheques was very noisy (poor window insulation); bathroom door needed repair (why hadn't maid noticed this before); dirty linens and towels left in hallways all day and overnight; another guest complained about the late check-in and was told by the reception clerk to 'stop complaining as she had the lowest price room and shouldn't expect better service' (I was at the desk requesting change for a large bill and overheard that conversation).
