Upon arrival at the Hyatt, we were greeted with an additional upgrade to our room (top floor, king size bed, no footprints on the wall, no garbage on the floor) a free pass to the hotel spa (another "apology" from them for our poor experience) and a complementary bottle of chilled champagne in our room.

8. I made a quick call to the Grand Hyatt in Poipu, and in no less than 10 minutes (I kid you not) they had arranged for a shuttle to come and get me, had a room reserved for me (at a discounted rate - their "apology" to me for my poor experience so far on the island) and we were on our way out of this dump of a hotel.
