6. One of my most favorite parts about the beach was gazing upon the sea turtles floating along the shore pecking at algae on rocks and then slowly making their way up the sand to bask in the sun for a couple of hours.

So far, the only sign that the place is under new management is that the deferred maintenance is slowly showing up; the place is beginning to look its age; the staff is turning over and complaining to guests; and the new general manager is uncommunicative; and this Thanksgiving seemed to lose the idea of a Hawaiian Thanksgiving.

8. ' I would definitely recommend staying at least 5 nights - which will give your over-strained mind & body a chance to actually slow down & relax.

9. There's a new owner, and apparently the plan is to revamp the whole place slowly, hale by hale, so as not to impose construction sights and sounds on any future guests.
