1. My husband cut his foot really badly on the lava rocks and I heard another guest did too while we were there.

2. Our Hale had sand in front of it but once you got into the water there was a lot of Lava rocks so it wasn't good for kids.

6. (shout out to blasio, he rocked and was our favorite waiter, the kitchen manager has been there like 30+ years and she really went above and beyond)there was no pressure to do the gratuity either way.

7. I love to swim out to the raft ( I do not understand when people say that the ocean is not good for swimming, gentle waves, warm water, and if you get in the water closer to beach shack there are no rocks whatsoever.

8. You can enter and exit the water on the other side of the rope but there are lava rocks, urchins and occasional turtles.

9. Unfortunately many parent s let children wander unattended up and down the beach we witnessed one child who was old enough to know better pick up a big rock getting ready to hit a turtle inthe head until she realized we saw here, then she dropped her rock and ran.

10. At night the turtles all beach themselves, and manta rays come to the same spot on the rocks every night.
