1. In general, the women who worked at the front desk were helpful with directions, but the men ranged from from clueless to rude.

2. It's not that some of them were downright rude, it was that there were a lot of twenty-something year old male employees who seemed more interested in chatting and joking with one another than acknowledging or warmly addressing the guests.

3. After a less than pleasant stay at Copley Square, I was not keen to stay at another Fairmont, however I was a guest of someone who booked this hotel so I did not wish to seem rude.
