1. First room very, very small and smelled like old cigar smoke, stale, dirty carpet, hot, air conditioner not working.

4. The air conditioner was the old fashioned kind (not central air) and I guess they keep it turned off while no one is occupying the room, so the room was hot and stale smelling when we first arrived and when we turned it on, it was a bit on the noisy side.

5. But you can be certain that the rooms will be clean, the air conditioning will work, and there won't be a mildew smell (which many Waikiki hotels have).
